New web site for handmade invitations

24 Sep

Yes, that’s right, I’ve finally decided to split up some of the business!  The handmade stationery will shortly be moving to it’s very own site.

Everything else that you see on this site will remain, but I hope to now be able to use this site as my main blog.  All the party invitation designs and printables will stay right here, but if you’re looking for something really different for your wedding then make sure you pop back here in a week or two.

I’ve been working on some very special handmade designs and they deserve their own showcase.  I’m very excited about them and truly believe that they are different to most of the designs around at the moment.  They feature beautiful handmade mulberry paper flowers on simple, classic backgrounds.

So this is your ‘heads up’!  Come back in a week or two to find the link to my new website.

Recreating the Handmade Look for less!

24 Jun

This week I’ve been working on a theme trying to create a printed invitation that has the look of a handmade invitation!

It’s a great way to save money on your wedding stationery.  Anyway, below is my take on a navy and lime theme with a vellum effect overlay.  The jewel at the top in the centre is meant to be holding the ‘vellum’ in place (on the handmade version this section with the printing on would swing freely).

Navy & Lime Wedding Invitation

As always I would welcome your comments on this one.
